Shared by Alanna •

It was a busy summer and we've rolled out another series of updates across Dig One!

Here's what's new.

🔁 Duplicate questions in Create Mode

Duplicate any question from its menu. The copy keeps settings, logic, and translations, and appears directly after the original. Available for Select, Scale, Rank, Grid, Screener, Idea Splits, Idea Screens, and Statements.

🤖 Dig Agents

📊 Stat testing

Run significance tests on Idea Screens and Idea Splits results directly in chat.

  • Ask whether a difference between groups is real, and the agent runs the test.
  • The agent explains which differences are meaningful and which are not.

🎯 Audience-aware analysis

Dig Agents understand how your study's audiences relate to one another.

  • Smart combining: Country or language splits of one population are totaled, while separate populations, such as kids and parents, stay distinct.
  • Sample composition: A new tool reports each audience's demographic makeup.
  • Low-base flagging: Bases under 20 are flagged as not reportable across all cuts.

🌐 Demographic groups and languages in study drafts

Build audiences and manage languages by chat while drafting your study.

  • Groups, quotas, and sample sizes: Create demographic groups, set quotas, and adjust sample sizes via the agent.
  • Languages: Add a language and the agent translates all study and screener content.
  • Publish checks and one-step creation: Warnings surface before you publish, and groups, audiences, and translations carry into Dig One when you create the study.

📈 Charts and tables

Ask for a chart or table and it renders in the conversation.

  • Chart types: Bar, column, line, pie, doughnut, scatter, and dot plots, plus quadrant charts from Idea Screens.
  • Subgroup cuts: Split any score by demographic or responses.
  • Exports: Tables download as formatted Excel files, and charts export to PowerPoint as fully editable native charts.

🔍 Dig Agents sources and chat search

  • Sources: answers list the studies and social reports behind them. Expand a study to see the questions used and jump to the report.
  • Search across conversations: Find chats by content, with matches highlighted.
  • Context filters: Filter Recent chats by study or social report. The sidebar narrows automatically when you are viewing one.

📈 Trends Tracker

  • Market groups and more markets: Organize markets into named regions, and track up to 14 countries, including newly added Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
  • Richer charts: Per-keyword chart lines, keyword cards, and a Volume/Index toggle in comparisons.
  • Trends agent: Cites your attached research document and includes charts and tables in answers.
  • Performance and reliability: Faster load times, improved data pulls, and various bug fixes.

💬 Segment Chat

Interact with AI personas representing your target segments. Segment Chat is designed to support exploratory conversations while staying aligned with the segmentation findings.

  • Built from your research: The Dig team uploads the segmentation report to generate a Segment Chat. Once setup is complete, you’ll be able to interact with segments and switch between them to compare perspectives.
  • Explore and test ideas: See how different segments may respond to ideas or messaging.
  • Saved and searchable: Your chats save automatically, and you can search them across segments.

Product update

What's new in Dig One - July 2026

Alanna avatar
Shared by Alanna •

We've rolled out another round of updates to make Dig One even smoother to use. From UI refreshes to new audience availability and export improvements, here's what's new.

🇬🇭 Ghana is now available in the Audience Marketplace

We've expanded our Audience Marketplace with Ghana for English-language studies, giving you access to even more respondents across global markets.

💡 If there is ever a country that you are looking for that is not currently available on the platform, please reach out to us and we will be happy to assist!

💬 Refreshed tooltips across the platform

Tooltips throughout Dig One have been updated with a cleaner, more modern look. They now feature a white background instead of grey, making them easier to read while maintaining a consistent experience across the app.

📋 Templates are now easier to access

We've made it quicker to add both Study Templates and Audience Templates to your study.

Instead of accessing templates from the three-dot menu in the top navigation, template actions are now available directly from the top-right corner of the Create and Launch tabs. This makes it easier to apply or save templates exactly where you're working, reducing clicks and improving discoverability.

Whether you're building your study or preparing it for launch, your template options are now right where you need them.

🌍 Updated Batch Translation experience

The Batch Edit Translation modal has been redesigned with a cleaner layout and improved visual hierarchy, making it easier to manage translation workflows and see the available audience languages at a glance.

📄 Word exports now include Randomize information

If Randomize options is enabled for a question, this will now be clearly indicated in Word exports, making it easier to review survey logic and share documentation with stakeholders.

📱 Improved small-screen experience

We've refreshed the message shown when Dig One is accessed on smaller screens. The updated design provides clearer guidance and a more polished experience for users who attempt to access features that work best on desktop.

As always, we're continuously improving Dig One based on your feedback. Stay tuned for more updates next month!

📝 Screener Statements Now Supported

We've enhanced the Screener experience by adding support for informational statements within Screener sections.

Users can now include statements alongside screener questions to provide additional context, instructions, or guidance before participants respond.

This makes it easier to communicate important information during screening and create a smoother respondent experience.

🌎 Social Reports: Multi-Language Support & Enhancements

Social Reports now support multilingual analysis and reporting.

  • Select source and output languages
  • View reports, comments, quotes, and recommendations in your preferred language
  • Toggle between translated and English content
  • Export multilingual reports to CSV and PDF
  • Change report language after generation
  • Improved translations, citations, and quote reliability

Learn more about Language Targeting in Social Reports.

🤖 AI Open-End Quality Checks Introduced

We've added automated quality checks for AI Open-Ended question types.

Responses are now automatically flagged when they appear to be:

  • Profanity
  • Gibberish
  • Spam
  • Low-effort responses

This feature is currently in a monitoring phase. Responses are being flagged but not blocked as we evaluate data quality patterns and optimize enforcement thresholds.

🛡️ DQC Fraud Detection Framework Now Live

We've implemented the Data Quality Co-Op (DQC) framework across Dig One.

The system now collects fraud and quality signals including:

  • Device fingerprinting
  • Bot detection
  • Network risk assessment
  • Location verification
  • Duplicate respondent detection
  • Participant history signals

🧹 AI Idea Generation Temporarily Removed

We've temporarily removed Generate Ideas with AI while we work on a refreshed version of the feature.

The previous experience had become outdated and no longer met the quality standards we're aiming for. We plan to reintroduce an improved version in a future release.

2025 Release Roundup: Small Enhancements, Big Impact

Alanna avatar
Shared by Alanna •

Alongside major launches like Storyteller & Crosstabs, Video Interviews, and OneCliq, we shipped a steady stream of smaller enhancements throughout 2025- all focused on making Upsiide more flexible, accessible, and powerful in day-to-day use.

Here’s a look at some of the updates that quietly made a big difference.

More Control Over How You Visualize Insights

Custom Charts in Storyteller

Storyteller now offers custom chart creation, giving teams greater control over how results are visualized and shared. Users can build charts directly from study data, tailor them to specific storytelling needs, and include them as standalone insights or as part of a broader story.

This added flexibility makes it easier to highlight what matters most- without exporting data or relying on external tools.

Custom Charts in OneCliq

Custom charting capabilities were also extended to OneCliq, allowing teams to visualize social insights in ways that best fit their analysis. By shaping charts around specific themes, metrics, or narratives, users can move from raw social data to clearer, more actionable outputs.

Easier Sharing of Social Insights

Shareable Social Reports

Sharing OneCliq social reports is now simpler and more flexible. Teams can distribute insights more easily across stakeholders, helping ensure social intelligence travels beyond the platform and into decision-making conversations.

This enhancement supports collaboration while maintaining clarity and consistency in how insights are presented.

Smarter Storytelling with Conditional Formatting & GPT-5 Upgrades

Storyteller also received a set of behind-the-scenes improvements designed to make insights easier to spot and stories easier to build. Conditional formatting in crosstabs helps highlight meaningful patterns at a glance, making large tables more scannable and easier to interpret. At the same time, upgrades to Storyteller’s AI (GPT-5) improve instruction-following, clarity, and evidence-based insight generation- helping teams move faster from data to confident narratives.

Expanded Video Upload Capabilities

Video testing became easier with new native video upload options. Researchers can now upload MP4 files directly into Upsiide, control playback behavior, and embed videos across multiple question types. These updates remove friction from testing ads, content, and product experiences- all without external hosting.

Accessibility Improvements Across the Platform

Accessibility continued to be a key focus in 2025. Enhancements across Upsiide improve support for screen readers, keyboard navigation, image zooming, and overall interface clarity. These updates help ensure the platform is more inclusive and usable for a wider range of users- without changing how teams work.

Expanded Audience Reach and Smarter Demographic Setup

Expanded Audience Marketplace

We expanded our Audience Marketplace to support research in even more regions, including:

  • North America: USA Spanish
  • Europe: Croatia, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland
  • LATAM: Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama
  • EMEA: United Arab Emirates
  • Africa: Algeria

This expansion helps teams reach the right respondents in more markets, faster.

Built on the Details

While 2025 introduced major new capabilities across Upsiide, many of the most impactful improvements came from refining the details- giving teams more control, more reach, and smoother workflows throughout the platform.

And there’s more to come.

Stat Testing for Storyteller and Idea Scores

Alanna avatar
Shared by Alanna •

We’re thrilled to announce a powerful enhancement to Upsiide’s capabilities: Statistical Testing is now built directly into both Idea Scores and Storyteller. This update empowers researchers with instant, in-platform significance testing- no downloads, no external tools needed.

Built-In Stat Testing in Idea Scores

Stat Testing is now seamlessly integrated into the Idea Screen reporting experience. With this release, you can instantly determine if differences between idea scores are statistically meaningful or just noise. Visual cues and confidence intervals help you interpret results with clarity and confidence.

  • How it works: Toggle on Stat Testing in a completed study, choose your confidence level (80%, 90%, or 95%), and optionally select a benchmark idea (defaulted to the first idea). Other ideas will then display arrows- ↑ for significantly better, ↓ for significantly worse- making it easy to spot performance distinctions.
  • Enhanced controls: Pin ideas, filter by audience segments, sort by key metrics, and hover over elements for tooltips rich with context. Export your findings as Excel, PowerPoint, or image with stat testing included.

Stat Testing in Storyteller Cross-Tabs

Statistical testing is now also enabled within Storyteller’s cross-tab tables, helping you surface meaningful differences between subgroups without ever leaving the narrative builder.

  • How it works: In Storyteller’s table editor, select “Total %” as your display value (stat testing is not available with “Count”). Toggle on Stat Testing, select your confidence level (80%, 90%, or 95%), and optionally set a benchmark item. Comparisons will be made automatically across your items.
  • Insightful indicators: Statistically distinct results are flagged with letters (A, B, C, …), arrows for directionality, and tooltips that detail confidence level and comparison groups. Minimum base size is 30 responses per subgroup, and Storyteller supports multi-select and grid questions. Export with stat testing included, and add footnotes for clarity in presentations.

Why This Matters

By embedding statistical testing directly into both Idea Scores and Storyteller, Upsiide enables faster, smarter decision-making. No more exporting data or manually running tests- just instant clarity and confidence, right where you need it.

What’s Next

Stat Testing now supports cohort comparisons across Idea Scores and Storyteller’s cross-tabs. Soon, we’ll expand these capabilities further—bringing even deeper analytic power to more parts of the platform. Stay tuned.
